Curly Maple Wood Handle Scales - Set of 2 (130 x 40 x 10mm)

This set of two Curly Maple Wood Handle Scales is crafted from premium pale maple with striking curly grain – a natural pattern that produces a 3D shimmering effect in the wood. Sourced from the USA, curly maple is highly sought after for its dramatic figure and versatility in custom knife-making.

Curly maple looks beautiful on its own, but you can also apply leather dye and lightly sand it back to make the stripes stand out even more. The open grain takes dye and stabilising resin well, making it a favourite for use with Resinex or Cactus Juice.

Each set of scales varies in colour and grain figure. Some may feature small inclusions or spalting, which adds even more character. Small holes can be easily filled with super glue.
